There is no need to bleed the clutch, when taking the tranny out. Just
disconnect the slave cylinder from the bellhousing.

Anytime I’ve had the gearbox out I replace the clutch, pressure plate
and throw up bearing. Resurfacing the flywheel is common, but ask the
machine shop. Usually, there is checking, gouges, grooves or
discoloration that say “please reface me”.
