Jean- Geoff Healey mentions the bracing of the doors for racing cars
that were used at Sebring in 1955-1956 to give the doors rigidity.
During the race the doors would fly open and I think it was Stirling
Moss who had to finish the race with one hand on the door. Hank

Subject: [Healeys] Door Brace -

Has anyone ever run into something like this, this is what appears to
be a brace that was in the driver side door in the BN2 I am currently
restoring. At the top it was attached to the horizontal wood piece
held there with two countersunk wood screws. At the bottom, it entered
and turned to the inside and was secured with two rivets to the door
bottom frame piece.
