[Healeys] overdrive problem

Maybe there is too much clearance between the bottom of the solenoid
plunger and the 'backstop'. There are two versions of this backstop. A
small rubber bung and an adjustable back screw. If it were rubber, it will
perish and fall away or the adjustment not correct.

Don't leave the plunger out too long. As you say  *'if I push a little on
right side arm it*
*engages** immediately'* means that the high current is still flowing and
if left any length of time will burn out the solenoid.
