[Healeys] Quick Jack installed on frame.

The owners manuals for both the 100 and 3000 have the same
instructions for jacking up the car. Front- under the wishbone plate,
rear- under the spring u-bolt. The books never say anything about
picking up the car by the frame. If you jack up the rear, at the
outrigger behind the rear wheel, you will notice that you can't open
the door on that side.
I have used my Hein-Warner 1.5 ton floor jack for years on the
pumpkin, and front center brace-always with padding on the stirrup.
However, how many destroyed front cross pieces have you seen from
bottle jacks?
If you use the front cross member as a jacking point you must FIRST
slip a 2" block (for 100) under the shock lever arms, to mounting
plate, so that the suspension does not "hang."
Austin liked it if you used the supplied Shelley jack in your boot.
You probably did not. Hank

The problem with jacking on the pumpkin is that on some designs the
lowest point on the pumpkin is actually not that strong and if it
bends up the crown wheel will rub on the case eventually wearing
through it. (Don't ask me how I know).

I've had a QJ for about 5 years and have raised my BT7 on the
outriggers many times. I never gave it any thought. Maybe I've been
lucky, but it's always been stable.

Installed on frame. Question is can you install on out riggers shown
below or other place so you can increase the working area in the
center of the car

Maybe fill in voids with trimmed 2x4?

Let me know what you do for positioning the lift under the frame of a
