[Healeys] 350 starter

Hi folks,Question on my 350 SBC.  When replacing the starter solenoid it is possible to attach it in two different positions - each 180 degrees oriented from the other.  Is only one of these positions correct or can the starter be operable in either? I had the solenoid replaced on a starter recently and the ignition terminal is 180 different from another identical functioning starter.TIA. Keith
