Couple o' things ...Nissan parts department is VERY unlikely to have any parts for a Toyota

Assuming that this is related to your earlier post on the same subject ..My only experience does involve a Nissan--1993 pickup manual trans..the manual sez Clutch Pedal Height (amount of throw > how far the pedal travels from top to bottom is 9,29 to 9.69 inches ...(227-327 mm)...the amount of "free play" is listed as .039 to .059 inches (1-1.5 mm) essentially zero free play...One would further assume that Smitty Conversion folks would have some sort of spec as regards to throw and free play...still sounds to me like the clutch is dragging/not being fully disengaged...means input shaft still rotating ...
as a for instance, when engine off, car sitting can you select any/all gears without binding or excessive force? ...
try this...start engine, depress clutch ..put ear on gear shift ...Noise? gear rotation sounds?  Whining? ...all would indicate input shaft rotating ...

Michael,
The bushing on the lower end of the shifter is plastic. I have worn out a couple of them. It is the same bushing on both the W58 and W59 transmissions. The Nissan parts department should know exactly what you need and have one (or more) on the shelf.  You don't need a part number.

I have a Smitty's five-speed conversion in my 100 which has about 60K miles on it.  I believe, but am not certain it is the W58 version.
It has recently become difficult to engage any gear (1 to 5 and R) from neutral.  The clutch is engaging/disengaging properly and the transmission is full of Redline MT90.  The amount of effort to get into any of the gears does not change at speed or whether the car is hot or cold.
I am suspecting/hoping there is a bushing at the base of the shift lever that has become worn and in fact a dose of WD40 into the top of the tower made shifting a bit easier.
I don't want to show up at the Toyota parts counter only to be turned away for lack of a part number and am hoping someone might have it.
TIA--Michael Oritt
