I am planning to apply new veneer to my solid wood BJ8 dash. Does anyone have leftover walnut burl veneer I can buy from their veneering job? John 1967 BJ8

What is the number on top of the dial of the dual oil pressure/water
temperature gauge in the Austin Healeys?

I have a silver dialedexternally lit dual gauge calibrated in pounds per
square inch and Degrees Fahrenheit with the number X42638/15 and I
suspect it to be from an A-H or a Land Rover SI.

For those interested in not using a hammer,
Go to:

Not inexpensive, but made of quality materials.

The BJ8 gauge is GD 1301/02.

The BN1/2 dual gauges are black face and are X42638/38 for the water gauge in farenheit and X42638/35 for the water gauge in celsius. I can?t find any reference to an X42638/15.

Our early BN2 has X42638/38 Safety Gauge in it. The gauge face is black with white markings.

Hello,

These are the two products I use. The contact cement in the tin is solvent
based and I have found it easier to apply if the tin has not been opened
long. I buy small amounts more frequently. The spray is great for fabric and
more absorbent surfaces and materials.

Thank you for all the responses. I guess I'm getting old. When I wrote "my
go to was 3M super 77", I was recalling it wrong when actually it was the
3M#90 that I have always used. I think I may try the Barge Infinity cement,
and possibly the Wildwood cement as suggested.

3M #90 is stronger
