[Healeys] FW: Badge Restoration

Hello

 

Well not quite.

 

Bought at auction in Sydney about three years back and now being restored.

 

Chassis and sub-frame done. Second photo shows the body done. Mechanicals are now being done.

 

Interesting car as while it was built in RHD for the UK market, this car was sold new in New York to a member of the Vanderbilt family. Arrived in Australia in the 1980s and not touched until three years back. If you thought Austin-Healey parts were expensive, you should try Alvis parts.

A couple of years back I recall an interest in a business in the US that restored metal badges.

 

I have found Emblemagic in Ohio, but can’t recall if that is the company.

 

Perhaps someone else knows.
