I have no idea if it is a Payen gasket or not.  Heck it's been sitting in a package of engine gaskets for so long I'm not even sure if I bought it several years ago or it was given to me by the guy that built the short block.  Just trying to identify it.  If it is a Payen then I would have no problem using it.  Just don't know what it is.Mike M

If it's an older (English made) Payen and all the holes line up it should be fine for a stock engine with iron head.  We used one in our BN2 rebuild years ago, and it has caused no problems (but the car has probably been driven less than a thousand miles).  Make sure the block and head faces are flat or no gasket will work.

In the process of putting the head on my 100 engine.  I have a head gasket, but not sure what I have or if it is a good one.  It is copper faced on both sides.  There is no "TOP" marking.  All it has is G-2012F on one side stamped about in the middle almost between the 2 and 3 cylinders. This gasket OK to use?
