[Healeys] Valve seals

I hate to mention this after just ordering new valve seals but you may want
to consider upgrading to a modern seal. I attached on article from an MG
source but it is very similar to a Healey valve stem. I put modern valve
seals in my cylinder head.

     Just got off the phone with John.  I ordered eight new seals.  Turns
out only two valves had seals.  This head was supposed to be ready to
install.  Trust, but verify. Thanks.

Yes the original valve seals are a square seal and are installed inside the

Before I put this head on the engine I am removing the outer spring to look
at the seal.  Can someone tell me what I am looking at here?  This rebuilt
head has never been installed, but been sitting for several years.  I
remember the round rubber disc seals that I bought for this, but are they
supposed to flatten out in the cup around the valve stem like this?
