I realize some people like “concourse”, some like “popular”, some like “driver”, some like “racer” and some like “nasty” and THAT is why I like being part of the Healey crowd: Diversity is a wonderful thing.  It isn’t always a shared characteristic of owners of all the other marques one might choose to drive. … In other words, Josef, I like you…J  you are part of what makes Healey ownership so special…. And also why I would prefer to keep my Healey… J

What the hell are you talking  about? Miata seats, 5-speed gearbox, electronic ignition, alternator, telescopic shocks, 190 horsepower, 195/65 tyres, !!!! Why not buy a new Miata? Its got all you want!!! and sell your Healey. You will get two new Miatas for the selling price of one propper Austin-Healey without all this modern stuff.

...yes I bought a stock tonneau from one of the usual suspects, plus some matching material. My local trimmer put in the pockets for the headrests.

pretty easy to alter the tonneau to fit; any boatyard/auto upholsterer could do so

Just something to think about, if you use a tonneau cockpit cover, the headrests would likely not fit under it.
