My daughter was introduced to my BJ8 when she was 10-----she now drives it to shows.  Her son (13) and /i ave taken trips of 4 or 5 ours several times.  He loves the car.

I taught my son to drive in my BJ8, then took him on a long road trip to 
get some experience (wouldn't take his driver's test in it, though).

He's clean-shaven now, serving on a Navy cruiser in the South China Sea.
