You might try a hardware store that is not a chain or big box store.  We have one locally that has a whole row of bolts-nuts-washer bins with specialty hardware above that.  

 

Why can't Moss order the correct ones from a place like McMaster-Carr?  If they need to order a 1000, then they will have an adequate supply for us that need small amounts.  You know that are going to mark them up, but at least we won't have 980 pieces we don't need.

I am looking for a source for split rivets. All I can find on line is either the wrong size or you need to buy 1000's. The size seems to be 1/8" dia x 1/2" or 9/16" long.
