Hello

The heat shields are available from AH Spares in the UK for £37.75.

I did not know that it was no longer available. It was made from some form
of cement board. I’m sure it is not as effective as the original asbestos
sheets.

I looked at the Moss kit but it isn't available anymore. Was the Moss heat
shield made from Hardi Board?

Eric Grunden of Absolutely British worked with Moss to design their heat
shield replacement kit, which uses cement board. I used their kit when I
last had my engine out a couple of years ago and found it to be a good
quality reproduction that fit well.

Help,

Any suggestions on the best material to make a carburetor heat shield. I
won't re-use the original asbestos part for obvious reasons. The metal part
is fine and I just need the insulation material.

Thanks.... Harold
