[Healeys] timing light

I bought a used Snap On digital timing light (MT2261) and in the
instructions is "solid core and some special application aftermarket
spark plug wires can cause improper operation of the timing light". The
suggested fix is to replace the #1 wire with a standard television radio
suppression spark plug wire.

It didn't work well with bumblebee wires.

The instructions also say that the light works on positive or negative
ground.

Cheers,

The flashes were nice and bright and RPM indication useful but the digital advance feature did not move the flashes. After numerous discussions with the manufacturer and 2 replacements it just would not work - it sort of worked on #6 cyl but not reliably enough. They kept blaming noise in the engine compartment.
