If there are engine problems that you are trying to diagnose you need to get as much info as you can before pulling apart. ALWAYS do a compression test and LEAK test prior to pulling the cylinder head.
If not and you assume the the problem is valves, So you pull the head and do a valve job. Then re install the head now you have a burning oil issue due to the bad rings.

Personally, I would still like to know if the rings Vs. the valves are a part of the problem before pulling the head.

Most likely cause a burned exaust valve on cylinder 2. 150-155psi on the other cylinders is neigh perfect. Head of job. Have fune.
