[Healeys] Fuel pumps (AGAIN!)

I would concur with David's comment.
Certainly the SU pumps have gained something of a reputation for poor
reliability but like David I can  remember very few failures which have not
been caused by extenuating circumstances such as being clogged up with
"sloshing" compound or laying idle for many,many years.
I use a original rebuilt but unmodified 1953 "L" model pump in my 100 which
has, to date at least, proved to be completely reliable.
Of course now that I have said this my pump will start to give trouble next
spring ... watch this space :-(
