[Healeys] Re-installing Slave Cylinder

Am I doing something wrong here?  I remember the two plates being easier to remove with the emergency brake lever in place.  As you can see from the picture there is a bit of interference with the brake lever trying to install the bottom plate.  Should I just give it a good whack to get it in place?  Mike MacLean
