I've mentioned this before but Karla Maxwell of "Maxwell Enamels" is a
friend and lives one town over in Vista. CA.

She's not cheap but does outstanding work, and most of her business is for
Pebble Beach quality cars.  She repaired, re-nickel plated and re-enameled
the badge for my finned aluminum valve cover,... $400.00.  It was the
repair (micro welding of the gouges in the copper base plate that was
difficult and not cheap). She is a master jeweler by training.
