[Healeys] 3000 Mk III cloisonné front badge

Before getting my BN4 badge restored at Pamela David's, I bought a Repro from one of the usual suppliers. Within a year parts of the red glass inlay had fallen out revealing shiny chrome plate beneath. No wonder there was no adhesion. On the originals the glass inlay is laid onto copper plating that hasn't been polished. That not only improves the grip but also contributes to the colour. Chrome plating and polishing happens after the glass is flowed in and levelled at PDE as it should be.

It's next-to-impossible to find someone that still does this work and, IIRC, it would cost as much to have a badge re-done as it would to buy new (if not more with two-way shipping charges). If you find someone who can do it please let us all know. The re-pops are pretty good (they ought to be for $200+).
