[Healeys] List quiet

I have been on the list since 1996 and have enjoyed 99.99% of the conversations. As with any group, once in a while there is an odd ball, but for those of you who use my web site you must be aware that almost all items on it have been taken from submissions that I have viewed on the list. At the present time, while retired from Healey ownership, I still am able to find articles, hints, etc. In fact, at the present time I have a backlog of around 50 items to put on my site most of which are very recent. So - - - the list is still a source of interesting and useful items. I wonder how the recent denial of service problems with the internet at large have impacted the ability to reach the list and/or receive items from it. Nevertheless, I certainly am not ready to abandon it. As has been previously stated, the list over the years has gone through droughts and floods of information. This is one of them.

I agree. The list has always impressed me with the collective knowledge. I also get a kick out of the different ways folks approach problems or perceive problems. I don't offer much in the way of solutions because I know so much less. That said, I have enough mechanical knowledge to be dangerous and when in doubt, the list has always pointed me in the right direction to get the job done. 

I also enjoy the varying degrees of banter going on here. So I will stay. Add when I can and will always be grateful for the resource this list provides. So a big thank you to everyone out there. I appreciate the help and here's to everyone! The list is life! Or something like that, but the list quite important in the continued driving of my car.

There are still some very knowledgeable experienced people who are quick to help with explanations, photos and even phone calls.

I only finished my car this year (will it ever REALLY be finished?) and I've found the list valuable right up to the finishing touches.

 

I do miss some of the old hands that have either moved on or passed on, but I think the knowledge base is still being added to.

I suspect many listers left the list, as the quality of this information source went so much down over the past months and years. 

This list was a phantastic pool of wisdom about 10 years ago, but nowadays most comming through is very low level to my mind.



Sorry, I am also very close to say good bye as its more wearing what I read than refreshing.

Just my opinion, but also the one of several Healey experts I know and who already left or just staying quiet and are no more active.
