Kees is right about the motor, pretty reliable, but the thrust washer can wear out and it can chew up the crank and block. You can test by having somone operate the clutch while you look for movement in the crank pully at the front of the engine.

The rear diff mounts can crack, not that hard a fix if you have a welder. Like many british cars the front of the frame is usually pretty well protected by oil and grease, but the rear can rot out, inspect under the car and look at the door panel gaps at the back especially.

The soft bits (interior) are all available, but can get really expensive.

The Stromberg carbs are a little finicky, but great information available on about the carbs and cars in general on the Buckeye Triumphs and Vintage Triumph Register websites.

Parts availability is great, new, used, stock, modified. If you want to go faster shaving the head (some cars were as low as 7.5/1 CR) and a slightly more agressive cam does wonders.

The car is a bit of a pig for soirited driving, but adding aftermarket swaybars will make a huge difference.

Price sounds a little high unless the interior is good and rust minimal.
