Look for even gaps at the rear of the door. They should be of equal
width top to bottom but rarely are, indicating that the rear body has
not been shimmed properly in a restoration.
Look out for rot in the very front/headlight area and outriggers.
Further more the usual check for rot as with any car. Check for accident
damage and straightness of the chassis. Engine is fairly bulletproof but
watch for fore and aft movement of the crankshaft indicating wear in the
crankshaft half moon bearing with possible damage to crankshaft and/or
engine block. Usually caused by starting with the clutch depressed and
holding the clutch at traffic lights etc.
Fit triple Webers or DellOrto's to match the power from the original UK
spec Lucas fuel injection, the Strombergs are very restrictive.
Wooden dashboard is cheaply available new or can be made up/restored
fairly easily if you know how to veneer (both sides!!!) and to work plywood.
Parts availability excellent, probably even better than A-H.
