[Healeys] Cam wear question

120.000mls on a camshaft is not to bad, remember that in the old days
European engines, incl. the Austin engines needed a rebuild after
40-60.000mls and this was with proper maintainance. After all more was
not needed as the cars rusted out between 3 and 5 years. These days we
expect well over 300.000mls and prolonged service intervals and gross
negligence while the bodies last well over 20 years in general, even
with salt on the road.
Today with modern oils old engines last quite a bit longer, but regular
use, longish trips and careful warming up of the engine is of great
importance.
