[Healeys] DMH's Rolex to Auction

I read a few days ago in a comment about this watch that it is in terrible condition and would cost as much as the estimate to put back in working condition. For the current value of such Rolex model, in working condition, is pretty well the same as this one, with, again according to the comment, had a tacky strap added to it.

According to Rick Harrison of 'Pawn Stars' fame, yes (at least for collectors). Same reason a 'survivor' Mercedes Gull Wing in pretty rough shape sold for more than a perfectly restored one a while back.

Joe,
Couldn't find your comments, do you have a link? Don't think Donald wore that watch in later years. I don't know much about classic watches. Would this lose value if it were restored?
