[Healeys] choke springs

Hi Ira, I have always found that the coil spring works well but have never tried the other type.
I use the same spring as the throttle return springs BUT it is necessary to make linking wires which are long enough to ensure that the springs are only extended about 1/4" from their natural length with the chokes fully off.

Subject: [Healeys] choke springs

working on my HD 8 carbs on my BT7. Crowd sourcing opinions about choke return springs. see image http://www.vintage-sportscar-touring.ca/images/chkreturn.jpg
which is best and if I go with the coil spring, what are the specs on one that works?
Thanks
