I've done it. Get some small diameter steel rod--1/4" should do it--cut
into four pieces and grind the ends flat back about an inch or more
(like a long, flat screwdriver tip). On two of them, bend the very tips
into a 'hook;' you'll use these to extract the old seal. Work these in
and pull the old seal out, then tap the new seal(s) in with the straight
rods.
Can be done.
