Subject: Re: [Healeys] Fuel gauge - was Thanks to the list
Several comments on ohms, and recalibration re: fuel sending units
and gauges but no solutions. My solution was to have a known quantity
of gasoline in the tank then bend the float arm to approximately show that
quantity on the gauge. Half a tank of gas? Adjust the float arm so
that the gauge shows one half full. So far, so good. But I also
carry a marked stick as insurance. Also, adding an additional ground strap
to the sender did not solve the needle movement situation.
