Well, I do remember that Tiger bit for sure. And I am unaware of any other one-offs, not that I’d ever have researched beyond Tiger lore.

I used to have a Tiger. My brother in law’s Alpine looked identical at first glance, but that’s where it ended.

I skidded my Tiger on large wet leaves. Hit a stone wall; car was never the same again. I was too young/inexperienced/dumb to drive it in the first place and too poor to fix it properly afterwards. I often wonder about getting another.

I seem to remember that Shelby did a one of conversion of the Sunbeam Alpine. This conversion was then again modified by Jensen who also performed the final conversion/building of the car.

No offense intended, but I think all these owners' claims about an original Shelby conversion are pure BS.  Made up stories, either done in jest or ignorance.  If anyone had a documented Shelby V8 conversion prior to the Cobra, I'm sure the collectors would be waving fistfuls  of dollars at it.  And once Shelby began building the Cobra, the only "side job" conversion he did that I'm aware of was the Sunbeam Tiger.
