[Healeys] Girling brake shoe lifting tool

I was intrigued by this item. Number 2 is the one for sale; number 1 is the
only other one I could find in Google.

Does anyone have one? Anything that simplifies frigging around with brake
shoes/springs/clips etc would be a "Good Thing"?

Or does anyone know how it works?
