Michael
I can add a comment on the three holes.
My 1965 Sebring works car has the same holes. This was where a Lucas number
plate ( license to you of Nth America/Canada) so as to illuminate the race
number for Sebring so that lap recorders could identify all cars at night
time.
As a matter of interest my 1966, 67 & 68 LeMans and 1966 & 67 Sebring entry
streamlined Sprite has the same light

My 3000 was fitted with welded on alloy ( ugly) flares in the late 60s when
Cobra style offset wires were fitted and at that time the edges were wired,

Good luck with your search
Joe

Subject: [Healeys] Weird Rear Fenders

So I have had this pair of aluminum rear fenders for about 30 years and I'm
wondering if anyone has any idea of their origin.
I got them with a pile of stuff from a guy who insisted that they were from
a "works" Sebring car"
I always thought that he was just doing a sales job on me as I had never
heard of a factory car with rear flares.....
Odd thing is that they look kinda genuine.
Any ideas anyone?
