[Healeys] Healey with a Toyota five speed

Not sure if this is causing your problem but, the Smitty bell housings did not
line up very well. That is, they were not properly indexed to the center-line
of the crankshaft, so there was excessive wear to the spines on the clutch
disc and in some cases resulting in complete failure.  The solution is to have
a machine shop index the bell-housing to the Healey engine and then do a fix
with a couple of locating dowels onto the rear engine plate. I would estimate
that  this will cost you about $4-500, if indeed, this is your problem.  But,
you will see when you take things apart and look at your clutch disc.
