Get a large diameter drift at least 1/2" end and make sure it has a good squared off edge. Norman Nock gave me this recommendation years ago I I have not had a problem since.

Subject: [Healeys] Front Hub Bearing

Fellow Listers,
I'm replacing my front hubs on my BJ7. The old bearings look good.
However I can't figure out how to remove the outer race of the inner
bearing. There is insufficient lip of the outer race to drift it out to
the back of the hub. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Elton
