A very dear friend of mine, and many other Australian Healey owners, once
wrote an article about this. Many of the same suggestions.
But Charlie also suggested that it was an opportune time to brighten up the
lights. He suggested that once your wife had gone shopping, grab the
toothbrush that wasn't yours, and some toothpaste, and clean the inside of
your glass brake light lenses like they were your old dentures. Then put them
in the dishwasher. Rinse and replace all evidence. Pack the dishes away for
extra brownie points..... Win/ Win/ Win!!!
Charlie swore he'd never replaced his glass brake light lenses.... But he did
confess to buying Kay another toothbrush a week or so later...
;-)
Miss your humor & friendship Charlie Britten
