[Healeys] What Year?

 Your confusion starts with the assumption that somehow Healeys were produced
in "Model Years" and that all changes were made at the change in model year.
The "Year" that the cars were registered as, is only coincidentally related to
the year in which the car was actually built.

In fact, the change in turn signal styles on the BJ8s was made at Chassis
31336 in March 1965. So if your chassis number is later than that, then you
should have the separate sidelights and signal lights. If the chassis number
is lower than that, then you have the single style.

Both of my 1965 BJ8's (march/sept) have both front lights (turn and running)
and the big amber signal light in back.
AKA four signal lights in front and four in back

lady in our club has a bj8 that has both front lights and the big amber
signal light in back which she bought new from factory in june of 65.  i had
always thought these were 66 models.
