Santa Fe 500 UPDATE- Sept. 24 & 25, 2014


      The Open Road Tours that have been established as a series of 3
      individual daily drives, associated with the last few years of the
      Santa Fe Concorso, have morphed into a two day, 500 mile overnight
      road tour, named bThe Santa Fe 500b.


    *Santa Fe 500 update:*


    The Santa Fe 500 block of 37 rooms and suites at the El Monte
    Sagrado Hotel in Taos are almost sold out. Currently we have
    approximately 35 cars, and 70 participants for the  2014 Santa Fe
    500 Road Tour.

Bob and I have noticed that we have more rooms sold / people attending 
than we have entrant fees, so please send in your $50.00 checks per 
person attending to Bob Hall's address.


The Hotel does have a few larger suites and villas available for the 
September 24th night, on a first come / first serve basis. Additionally, 
we have asked the hotel to capture and make available any cancelations 
that the hotel may have for that evening to add to our event. This means 
that you can put your name in on the SF 500  hotel waiting list, or 
reserve a bigger available suite / villa.

The 2014 Santa Fe 500 will start at 8AM Wednesday Sept 24, at Encantado 
Resort for your complementary breakfast and entrant introductions / 
drivers meetings. We will head out to the North at 9:15AM on the High 
Road to Mora.

We have an open menu lunch set up for all entrants in Angel Fire Country 
Club, then on to the Enchanted Circle Drive, arriving Taos mid / late 
afternoon. We have mapped 200 miles of scenic drives on day one.

Thursday will begin again at 8AM with a complementary breakfast at El 
Monte Sagrado. Our tour group will be leaving to the North and West at 
915 AM over the gap bridge, and on towards Chama, via the high mountain 
pass.
Thursday's open menu  lunch is set up in Jemez Springs, followed by a 
return trip to Encantado for cocktails after a tour thru the Caldera. We 
have mapped 300 miles of very scenic roads on day two.

All and all, the Santa Fe 500 will include 500 Miles over 2 days, 
enjoyed by nearly 100 people,  in beautiful Fall weather over scenic roads.


If the British Cars keep to the back, we are all going to have a fun and 
very social road trip!
