Curt,

Attached is a picture of the distributor-base area.

I think you're referring to the banjo pipe between the distributor base and
the block.

Mine is a recent replacement tach cable from Moss. The ID on the threads
inside the screw collar is .825".

The correct master cylinder is .75"

Hey List,

I have a friend restoring a '59 BN6 and I have several questions.

At the base of the distributor housing, on the top side, there is a
threaded hole for either a grease fitting, oil line or oiling port. My
friend has it plugged right now and we're trying to figure out what was
original.

Second, the tach drive input at the base of the distributor drive is
slightly too large for the MOSS tach cable that we ordered, and the strange
thing is that the new cable seems to have the same size end as the old
cable that came with the car? Is there something he's missing when
ordering the drive cable?

Finally the brakes, he just can't get consistent pedal pressure, so what is
the wheel cylinder bore size (wire wheel car) 1' or 7/8"? What master
cylinder should be used, and what is it's bore size?

Cheers,

Curt
