Me too, almost Dave ! ! !  My reasoning (er, @ 50+ years old <sigh> <G>)
was/is that heat is somewhat 'reflected' and helps keep said heat AWAY from
the carbs [we all know the carb/heat 'love/hate' relationship <G>].
