Another option is to contact Andy Henderson at bVintage British Cablesb in
Alberta, Canada [ http://www.vintagebritishcables.com/ ] email
sales at vintagebritishcables.com
Although specializing in Smiths for motorcycles, Andy does have a wealth of
information and parts and may be able to help you. He manufactures SMITHS
Speedometer & Tachometer Cables using original Smiths equipment, presses &
dies. He purchased Alfa Instruments [Ted Sopieja] cable inventory from Rick
McPherson a few years ago.
I am ccbg a copy of this email to him.

The cost to send a full set to Canada using express post (4 days tracked) was
$US77.
As a comparison the price for the same service from Ontario to CA was $US34.

Perry and all who responded. Love this group... BTW anyone looking to have
instruments restored to a very
high standard at reasonable cost I would highly recommend this company.
www.e*parrott*.co.nz I have used them for years, and despite having lost
almost everything in the devastating earthquake in ChristchurchB a couple of
years back they have managed to continue through with nary a complaint. No
financial interest just trying to help out some dedicated craftsmen. >>
