Well said. I'm in the process now of rebuilding the diff in my E-Type--------took it to a local repair shop--turns out there were some very bad bearings inside that spun and damaged the diff. I ended up buying a rebuilt diff from a very well respected Jag repair shop----simply because I didn't want to take any chances that the R&P would be reinstalled poorly.

Have a proper gear shop install the ring and pinion, this is not a job for
a home mechanic. I can rebuild almost anything on the car, I personally
would not go near the pumpkin.
