Jean, here is a photo of mine. It attaches to the clutch slave bleed screw
and at the top end it has a bracket that is attached with a gearbox bell
housing to engine attach bolt.

During our return from Conclave in San Diego in 2008, in the mountains of
Colorado my traveling companion experienced a problem with his clutch that
he diagnosed as air in the line. He had the bleeding extension installed in
his BJ8 (I did not). We stopped in the next town at a NAPA store and bought
a 4-foot length of clear plastic tubing and a can of silicone fluid. With
the bleeding extension it took only about 5 minutes to connect the tubing,
open the extension bleed, and while I held the tubing up as high as I could
get it, he operated the clutch pedal. Out came the air and we were on our
way again with no further problems. That was a lesson well-learned, so as
soon as we got home I ordered an extension as well. I haven't yet had to
use it, but you never know.

Subject: [Healeys] Clutch Slave cylinder line extension -

Doug Reid was selling a line extension for the clutch slave cylinder, would
anyone on the list have a photo of it? Is this something worth installing
and does it facilitate the bleeding of the clutch?
