If you get tired of the coastline--it does get old eventually--take Hwy. 96 along the Klamath River to Interstate 5. Then, of course, you'll need to work your way westward towards Seattle somewhere up the road (or stay on 5 to Portland and say g'day to Ira).

We are now trying to organise parts of our west coast trip and would 
like any input you can give. 

We have 4 days to travel from Point Arena CA to Seattle by car. 

What are your collective suggestions for things to see and places to stay.
