Thanks for your reply, John. Sounds like your radiator shop didn't have a 
clue. My shop told me that they would have to open the side rails to fit the 
core. That's something that doesn't appeal to me, but there may be no other 
way. Your solution of welding on an angle on one side of the rail may be the 
way to go.
