[Healeys] Pilot (Spigot) Bush Size

The pilot bush is a press fit in the crank shaft. When the pilot bush is
installed in the crank the ID of the hole in the pilot bush will decrease.
This need to be taken into account when sizing a new bush so that it will not
fit too tightly on the spigot of the transmission input shaft. I do not recall
the specific amount of crush & it of course depends on the amount of
interference between the O.D. of the bush & the I. D. of the hole in the
crank.

Jim,

I've just checked two NOS pilot bushes.
It is 1.00" OD and 0.74" ID

Anyone know offhand the O.D. of the pilot (spigot) bush for a 3000
engine?
I.D. is .750", .0625 wall makes it 7/8"?

Thanks in advance...
