[Healeys] Starting (cut off switch)

The gear reduction starters are usually Nippon-Denso units. They are
prone to worn solenoid contacts IF the switch voltage is less than
optimal. It's the small wire on the starter. The contacts are easily
accessible by removing the 3 screws and the cover. The contacts are
very available and inexpensive, BUT, you'll need to identify which
contacts you have. We sold many "kits" to repair shops that had an
assortment. Do a voltage drop test on the small wire. If there isn't
enough voltage there, the starter will click the solenoid, but it
wont hold the magnet and the contacts arc and burn.
