when i was in germany i changed to silcone brake fluid without doing all that flushing, blowing lines, etc. do not remember any problems with it and do not remember having to change out any rubber parts. in fact, if it was not so expensive i would still be using it (our mechanics threw it away after a certain time, so i had all i wanted.)
