If it were me the night before I was going to start it I would pull the plugs
and squirt some either ATF or Marvel Mystery oil into the cylinders.
Draining the carbs is a good idea but you may find the gas has evaporated
already.
Make sure the carb pistons are free.
The morning of the start I would leave the plugs out and crank till I saw oil
pressure.
Then plugs in and bring her to life.
