This is a good video to watch on u tube about
overdrives, You can also search on u tube for others there are many. I just
had mine all apart and re-gasketed and painted, also new gaskets and o-rings
etc.

Subject: [Healeys] Transmission/overdrive questions
I have taken trans/OD out of my car to freshen it up and stop the oil leaks.
I
don't think it's ever been apart in 49 years, so I guess it's about time! It
worked fine, but is a "leaker" at the adapter plate, rear case and flange
seal. The OD is completely apart. I intend to clean up the components and
replace the o-rings while in there, maybe some bearings and bushings, too.
The
clutch and brake ring look good. One of the leaks I had is at the brake ring
joints between the main and rear casing. It appears there is no gasket on
either side of it but has remnants of some type of sealing compound on it.
So,
my question is what are people using to successfully seal this joint? In the
event I decide to replace the cone clutch, who in the US is selling those
things? Nothing in Moss or Autofarm.
One other question while I'm at it, how much side to side play is acceptable
in the input (first motion) shaft?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
