[Healeys] Turning Engine Over

Mark, No it is not a problem to crank the motor with the carbs and  
manifolds off, you do not even to worry about the cooling system  
since the engine will not be starting.

However if you can not crank the engine with the crank pulley and a  
large breaker bar the starter will not do it either.

Are you sure the transmission isnt in gear and the car is on the  
ground or the brakes on.

Otherwise your problem is internal probably stuck wrist pins or rings
