[Healeys] BJ 8 Door Operation

I have just finished installing a new panel kit on my BJ 8 and found the
passenger door does not open from the inside (I know, I should have
checked before I put it together).  I can open it from the outside with
the handle.  Is there something I should check before I tear it apart
again that could be a problem/solution I can handle from the outside, or
am I just hoping against hope?
